What have we achieved so far?
Awarded Gold level from Green Tourism (top 8% global achievers).
We now have four electric charging points and with six electric vehicles, this will grow to 100% EV fleet.
Reduced the use of disposable coffee cups in our cafés and restuarants, and gifted keep cups to all staff.
0% Plastic - sandwich wrappings in our cafes, bags in our shops and annual passes use 100% plant based product
Introduced bio-degradable cutlery in our cafés and restuarants.
65% of materials are manufactured into UK products (20% higher than UK average recovery figures).
97% of waste is diverted from landfill and hand segregated for recycling and recovery.
12,000 Kwh renewable energy generated a month from food and liquid waste.
All our electricity comes from renewable UK sources thanks to a two year partnership with Good Energy; this includes our Windrush Industrial Park.
100% renewable energy powered Mineral Water Processing on the estate
The new Park Farm delivery hub allows for streamlined deliveries across the Estate by electric vehicle, and reduction of transport CO2 from delivery suppliers.
Low zero carbon technologies include; solar panels, biomass boilers, hydroelectric and plans for water source heat pumps. Helping to save 62 tonnes of CO2 per month (14% reduction in CO2 emissions from 2019).
In 2020 300% increase in visitors arriving by sustainable transport.
In 2020 we declared a climate emergency and introduced green manifesto and transport initiatives to further reduce our CO2 footprint.
