Retail Administrator Apprenticeship

Did you go straight into your Apprenticeship from school, if no what did you do previous to this role?

No- I finished a Business Level 3 course in 2019, and then worked part time as a retail assistant.

What made you apply for an apprenticeship?

I’ve always enjoyed working in retail so when I saw an opportunity to work and learn and work in the retail offices, I thought it would be perfect for me.

Why did you choose Blenheim Palace and what attracted you to our apprenticeship scheme?

I know other people who have completed an apprenticeship at Blenheim and have had great experiences.

What are your key roles/ responsibilities?

I help with ordering stock for the shop floor and communication with suppliers. I also help with analysing sales and working out how well stock is selling. Alon with this is also do a lot of general admin stuff for the retail team in the office and on the shop floor.

What do you like best about the job?

The best part of the job is that there is such a big variety of different things I am doing and learning to do daily.

How are you finding the apprenticeship and how is it helping you progress?

I am really enjoying the apprenticeship, I am learning so much about how we buy and merchandise stock, it is really helping me progress with new skills and I’m always learning new things I never would have done before.

What do you hope to gain and once your apprenticeship has finished?

I hope to gain a broad understanding of all administrative skills.
