General Manager (The Oxford Pantry)

  • Leads and owns the operational standards of the Oxford Pantry Cafe team at Blenheim with direct and positive “hands on” approach
  • To monitor monthly targets for food, labour and expense lines and ensure effective cost management  
  • To drive profitable sales and improving standards 
  • To liaise with HR department to recruit, motivate, develop and manage the talents within the venue required to deliver objectives 
  • To ensure the resource plan for venue is appropriate and maximises opportunity to deliver budget and retain staff 
  • To regularly monitor customer feedback and produce a suitable action plan based on the results. 
  • To be customer focused at all times, by being visible on the floor during all service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs. 
  • To ensure that all agreed service objectives are met  
  • To ensure the team have the tools, knowledge and training to do their job well 
  • To ensure effective stock management, to complete a full stock take on a monthly basis and to ensure appropriate levels of stock are kept to not loose potential sales 
  • To ensure all equipment is well maintained and is in good working order 
  • To make recommendations for renewal and replacement of equipment when required 
  • To establish and maintain cleaning schedules 
  • Leads and delivers a compliant food safe environment in accordance with company and legal food safety regulations, including Food Safety Act 1990, Weights & Measures Act 2015 and Natasha’s Law 2021
  • Leads and deliver a safe place to work according to the company policies and legal health and safety regulations
  • Report near misses, accidents and incidents on Mobaro
  • Manages teams’ performance, development and training.
  • Ensure adherence to the uniform policy.
  • Contribution to the successful delivery of Blenheim’s mission.
  • Undertaking all reasonable management requests.
