The Buyer Apprentice will learn about the principles of buying, stock control and merchandising. This will role will assist the Retail Buyer and the buying team in order to gain an all rounded view of the buying operation at Blenheim Palace. Though predominantly an office-based position, two days of every week will be spent on the shop floor understanding the retail experience as a whole and using this information to help recommend with buying opportunities.
The Buyer Apprentice will learn knowledge and skills in order to consider the following factors when making buying decisions: customer demand (including price), quality and availability, margins and profit.
