Earlier in the week, following an appeal by the Oxford University Ukrainian Society our staff have been collecting items which will be shipped to the Polish-Ukrainian border.
Our team collected donations of toiletries, first aid supplies, hand sanitiser and face masks, food and clothes.
“Like so many across the globe, we are shocked and troubled by the events taking place in Ukraine. Our thoughts are with all those affected,” said Heather Carter, Operations Director at Blenheim Palace.
"The team at Blenheim has been busy collecting a variety of items, and they have now been dropped to form part of a collection by Common Ground, a cafe and social space in Oxford, to be taken to the Ukrainian-Polish border,” she added.
The Oxford University Ukrainian Society was established by two Ukrainian students from Lviv, Eleonora Suhoviy and Roman Zaviyskyy and promotes Ukrainian culture and intellectual heritage within the University of Oxford.
It is now working with other groups to help those in need by sending priority supplies to the border.
