Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship

Did you go straight into your Apprenticeship from school, if no what did you do previous to this role?

After I left school, I completed one year of Film Production Level 3 at Abingdon & Witney College. I then began an apprenticeship in Film Production but could not continue as my employers could not get the funds to pay me!

What made you apply for an apprenticeship?

The reason I applied for an apprenticeship is because I wanted to learn something slightly different to what I have learnt before, but also in an area that I am fond of – Digital Marketing. I think it’s a great way to learn and earn at the same time as I am getting experience of what work is like but also learning in the process of doing so

Why did you choose Blenheim and what attracted you to our apprenticeship scheme?

Blenheim is a well-known, respected company that I felt would give me the perfect kick start into my career in Digital Marketing. As a large company I feel that working for Blenheim is an honour and will provide great opportunities for me to advance to higher Digital Marketing roles in the near future.

What are your key roles/responsibilities?

As a Digital Marketing apprentice, some of my key roles include: keeping the website up to date ( Blenheim Palace, Blenheim Estate, Blenheim.org, & Pye), creating email campaigns, social media ad content creations, assisting the other Digital Marketers in heavy workloads etc

What do you like best about the job?

My favourite part about my job is that everyone is so friendly and helpful. I feel as if I can ask for help when I am stuck. Another great thing about my job is that the Blenheim community is huge! There are so many different areas around the site and so many amazing people that I am still yet to meet. I think the overall atmosphere here is great, which ultimately makes it an even better place to work

How are you finding the apprenticeship and how is it helping you progress?

From the perspective of someone who has not ever done any Digital Marketing work or hold any qualifications in the area, I feel that I have learnt endless amounts – and I’ve only been here for a week! I think the style of training I have received is amazing and I have had the opportunity to put my training into practice.

What do you hope to gain and once your apprenticeship has finished?

At the end of my apprenticeship, I hope to be offered a higher position in the Digital Marketing team. If there are no positions, then I obviously would like to have a similar role (Digital Marketing Assistant) for another company if Blenheim does not have any current vacancies at the time.
